2022 Alumnae Retreat

You're Invited to Riding Waves - TK's 2022 Alumnae Retreat

Description:

Please complete this registration form in order to attend the 2022 Timberline Knolls Alumnae Retreat. This year’s theme is Riding Waves, and that is just what we are going to do together for the weekend! There are groups, speakers and a lot of time to fellowship throughout this weekend retreat! Please come ready to have some fun and meet so many people!

This will be a two day event, taking place from 2:00 pm on July 30th until 9:00 pm on July 31st. The event will host several groups, similar to the groups you experienced at TK, including, Art Therapy, Yoga, DBT and Spirituality. We will also have speakers who will share their recovery journeys with us, along with an "Ask the Expert" session where you can ask experts from campus your burning questions on recovery. As tradition, we will end the retreat with a letting go ceremony. This ceremony will consist of putting our items (paper, letters or other small items) in a fire to let go of them and provide space and time to recommit/recognize our continued commitment to recovery.

The Alumnae Retreat will take place at the Chicago Marriot Southwest at Burr Ridge Hotel. The retreat will take place from 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm on Saturday, July 30th and 9:00 am - 9:00 pm Sunday, July 31st. Registration is $75.00 a person. Registration includes: event activities, dinner both nights, breakfast on Sunday, and a welcome bag with TK swag and retreat T-shirt.

Hotel rooms at the Marriott will be offered at $149.00 a night. TK has rooms blocked out for the event, but you will need to reserve and pay for the rooms independently.

We are sorry but registration for this event is now closed.

Please contact us if you would like to know if spaces are still available.

I stepped down from Timberline Knolls’ Residential program to their PHP with supportive housing.  PHP helped me be able to have long term recovery. Going into a grocery store and make meals with support was helpful. Also, being accountable with acting out on urges, I learned to ask for support.  With anxiety/ panic and going out in the world I learned how to navigate and how to move through a panic attack and not retreat to old behaviors.  Living in the supportive housing was a key factor to me recovery because I was supported by others and staff throughout the night. I would not have made it through the last 6 years of recovery without PHP relapsing and giving me tools and it really made a difference. I hope you take the opportunity to go to PHP at Timberline knolls after completing their residential program.
