Animal Assisted Therapy
Designed with a goal-oriented approach, Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center involves animals to facilitate healing and rehabilitation. As a collaborative effort between TK staff and a professional handler, Timberline Knolls residents work with animals, such as horses and dogs, to realize individual treatment goals.

Designed to address a variety of mental health and human development needs, including behavioral issues, attention deficit disorder, substance abuse, eating disorders, abuse issues, depression, anxiety, relationship problems and communication needs, animal assisted therapy helps residents develop essential skills by providing a focus other than their disease.
Canine Therapy
Canine therapy builds on the natural bond between dogs and humans. Women in residential treatment receive unconditional love and patience provided by special therapy dogs, which help increase the residents’ self esteem and motivation. Whether emotional or physical, goals are oriented toward growth on an individual level.
Timberline Knolls is a leading residential treatment center for eating disorders, substance abuse, and co-occurring addictive and psychiatric disorders. If you think residential treatment make sense for you or your loved one, call us today. We accept women and girls (ages 12 and up) for admission 7 days per week.
