Attending Psychiatrists
Attending psychiatrists serve as the leader of the inter-disciplinary treatment team with which each resident at Timberline Knolls works as she pursues healing and recovery. The Attending Psychiatrist position offers an experienced psychiatrist the opportunity to work with exemplary colleagues in a nurturing, residential milieu setting. Attending psychiatrists have the opportunity to work intensively with each resident and her family from the assessment phase through treatment planning and implementation, culminating in a comprehensive discharge and aftercare plan.
Requirements:
- Two years experience
- Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry
- Knowledge of eating disorders and addictions
- Demonstrated skill working with adult and adolescent female patients in 12-Step and Family Systems Recovery Models

Primary Therapists
Timberline Knolls offers an experienced therapist the opportunity to work in a nurturing therapeutic milieu located in a tranquil residential campus setting. Our integrated treatment model places heavy emphasis on intensive individual therapy and support of recovery principles. The Primary Therapist, along with the Attending Psychiatrist and Family Therapist, forms the core of each woman's treatment team. Therapists grow through the opportunity to collaborate actively with exemplary colleagues across disciplines, such as expressive/experiential therapy, nutrition and substance abuse.
A current license to practice in IL is required. Extensive professional development is provided in key clinical treatment areas, such as recovery principles, trauma and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
Candidates with a variety of credentials will be considered, including LCSW/MCSW, MS, LCPC, PhD/PsyD. Preference will be given to therapists with experience treating eating disorders, chemical dependency and/or mood disorders in women and teen girls. Strong consideration will be given to candidates with DBT or trauma experience.
