Our Results
At Timberline Knolls, we build upon a woman's strengths and potential. We work with each resident to create an individualized program using evidence-based, outcome-supported practices and state-of-the-art psychiatric and psychological therapeutic approaches. We believe this method of treatment is the most effective way to help our residents make consistent and lasting real life changes.
To ensure the continued quality of care offered at Timberline Knolls, we track and monitor key variables of all recovery programs. We have achieved the following outcomes to date:
Improved Health
- 100% of residents with a primary diagnosis of anorexia showed increased weight at discharge.
- 100% of anorexic residents showed improved BMI (average of 19% BMI improvement per resident), and 100% went from the unhealthy BMI range to the healthy range.
- Residents with a primary substance abuse problem showed an average 50% increase in their functional level.
Improved Living
- 96% of residents say they are better at handling problems and stressful situations.
- 96% of residents say they express their emotions in healthier ways.
Improved Work/School/Relationships
92% of residents say they are doing better in school* and/or at work.- 87% of residents feel their relationships with family have improved.
- The vast majority of our residents are discharged to a lower level of care since their problems have been carefully addressed and they no longer need the intensive care of a residential setting. Thus, they are able to function within a home, school or work setting.
* Of residents attending TK Academy, 100% maintained academic placement; 100% were promoted to the next grade; 100% were graduated, as appropriate to individual circumstances.
