Melissa Rocchi, MAAT, LPC, ATR
Program Development Coordinator and Manager of Expressive Therapies
Melissa Rocchi is the Program Development Coordinator and Manager of Expressive Therapies at Timberline Knolls. Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois as well as a registered art therapist, she has held several executive positions in the Illinois Art Therapy Association. Her professional memberships include The American Art Therapy Association, The American Foundation of Suicidology, and The Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association. She presents regularly on the uses and benefits of art and expressive therapy. Her professional experience also includes hospice grief and bereavement work, as well as trauma survivor work.
Melissa is also a professional practicing artist. Her work includes 3-D and 2-D materials from metal and found objects to watercolors. She has shown her work nationwide in over 20 different venues.
Melissa received her undergraduate degree in Art and Psychology from Illinois State University and her master's degree in Art Therapy from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago.
