Mary represents the Academy while collaborating with TK staff in other departments, and addresses external academic questions and concerns. As a classroom teacher, her job involves collaborating with district schools, parents and the therapeutic team to provide quality educational services to adolescent residents.
Mary has been an educator for 16 years. This includes being a special education teacher for many years, a kindergarten teacher and working as a teacher for nine years at the Timberline Knolls Academy.
Mary received her Bachelor degree in elementary education and special education from Illinois State University. She earned a Master in Education Degree from Olivet Nazarene. She also has an LBS1 (Learning and Behavior Specialist) endorsement and is a reading specialist.
