“The best part about my job is seeing a new resident walk through TK’s door. It takes a lot, on both the resident’s and our end, to get that to happen. Finally seeing a woman or girl take such a huge step in her recovery is the best pay off to all of that hard work. I feel so proud every time I meet with a new admission!”
Emily leads a team of highly skilled and compassionate individuals whose goal is to assess individuals for their clinical and financial appropriateness for our program. Additionally, they provide interventions to help families and prospective residents work through any ambivalence they might have to treatment.
Emily worked as a counselor at a Truancy Prevention Program, a Recreation Therapist at Elwyn Residential Treatment Facility, and a manager of a Sober Living House. She started at Timberline Knolls as a behavioral health specialist, joined admissions as a coordinator, and worked as a professional outreach representative.
Emily received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Recreation Therapy from Houghton College and her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Eastern University.
