We strive to inspire hope in each resident’s ability to reclaim her life from the powerful grips of such an addiction by offering relentless compassion and unconditional, joyful spirit to all who come for care.
Additionally, while our staff assesses and treats the many factors that may have led our residents to abuse more potent strains of marijuana, each resident is afforded a full substance abuse assessment to determine if the abuse of other drugs and/or alcohol needs to be addressed in treatment. Our staff is especially attuned to identifying the other forms of substance abuse that often accompany high THC marijuana or other substance abuse problems, and, when necessary, we can supply care for additional chemical dependency concerns at the same time. Furthermore, we work to ensure that any and all other psychiatric concerns are identified so that the individuals who come for treatment at Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center are receiving the full spectrum of services they need to live healthier and more satisfying lives.
Unlike other rehab centers, Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center truly aims to identify and treat each and every one of the underlying conditions and potential stressors that could compromise the recovery process. What Makes Our High THC Marijuana Treatment Plans Successful?
The most effective approaches to substance abuse treatment and recovery consider all available information about the resident and leverage the experience of a diverse treatment staff to customize each woman’s treatment plan. This collaborative approach is one of the distinguishing elements of high THC marijuana addiction treatment at a leading treatment center like Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center. It is also one of the reasons why so many outpatient drug abuse and addiction specialists refer us to their patients who need more intensive treatment, or who have struggled to sustain recovery in an outpatient setting.
An assessment of a woman’s treatment needs begins early on in our admissions review process. We ask both the woman and her family to provide information about her history with substance abuse, roadblocks to success in work or school, and challenges with loved ones. We also request her consent to speak with previous addiction treatment providers to gather additional information about medical history, psychiatric history, past substance abuse treatment progress, and prior challenges to achieving or maintaining recovery from an addiction to high THC strains of marijuana.
Thorough Intake Assessment
Once she is admitted, each woman undergoes a comprehensive medical and psychiatric assessment. She is then assigned a substance abuse treatment team with several members whom she will meet with individually after she settles in on campus. Members of this team may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Registered dietician (RD)
- Addiction specialist
- Family therapist
- Primary therapy
- Psychiatrist (MD)
- Internal medicine physician (MD)
Each treatment team member provides an assessment within the woman’s first days at Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center. The findings are integrated and reviewed with our entire clinical staff, including other therapists and psychiatrists. As a result, our full knowledge about successful addiction treatment is integrated into each woman’s treatment plan.
Taking Ownership of Treatment
We believe it is critical for each woman to take ownership of her treatment and recovery from the outset.
Once her addiction treatment plan is formulated, our team’s recommendations are shared with the woman in her first care conference, which will include her primary therapist, family therapist, psychiatrists, discharge planner, nursing staff, and lodge staff. This collaborative approach accommodates her input into the goals for her treatment and allows her to choose several elective elements of her program. She will be asked to sign off on her treatment objectives and the progression of her treatment plan for high THC marijuana abuse or addiction and any other co-occurring disorders. This conference also sets the stage for ongoing collaboration between the woman and her treatment team throughout her stay in our rehab services.
Looking Forward to Recovery
Following the initial care conference, the treatment team will meet weekly throughout the resident’s stay and consult each other informally to monitor her progress and to make sure her recovery needs are being fully supported. If new symptoms appear, a woman may also undergo additional psychological testing or a medical evaluation to ensure her high THC marijuana addiction treatment considers all relevant aspects of her health.
Additionally, women with other medical symptoms, complications from high THC marijuana or other substance abuse, or an eating disorder may be referred to consulting healthcare providers such as a neurologist, orthopedic surgeon, cardiologist, gynecologist, dentist, or gastroenterologist when necessary.
What Will You Experience At Our Treatment Center?
A woman’s experience at Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center may differ dramatically from other rehabs or substance abuse treatment programs that were attended in the past.
That is by design.
Comprehensive, Integrated Treatment and Recovery
There is no miracle cure for high THC marijuana addiction.
Each person who wishes to overcome a high THC marijuana abuse problem must learn the skills needed to abstain from further abuse of these types of substances. They must become familiar with the triggers that drive the need to misuse these drugs, and develop the confidence required to remain drug-free. While at our center, women learn about their own decision-making processes that may have led them down the path of substance abuse, and hone the techniques that they will need to make better choices in the future. Our caring staff supports each woman during her recovery journey, and does so with such dedication that residents ultimately begin to experience improved self-confidence and the ability to make better choices that can serve them well for a lifetime.
Comprehensive and individualized addiction treatment plans use approaches proven to help women learn to manage their emotions and develop the tools needed to recover from high THC marijuana addiction in a lasting way. Specific examples of these approaches include:

What is Our Approach to Withdrawal and Detoxification from High THC Marijuana Addiction?
Even though the programming at Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center is holistic in nature, we do recognize that some addictions may necessitate medical care in order to best serve the individuals we treat. Addiction, after all, is a medical disease that does require stabilization in order to help a person advance in his recovery.
Beyond just the contributing factors that led to the development of the addiction in the first place, successful addiction treatment must address and treat the physiological factors of addiction as well. At Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center, we include this type of care in our programming when a woman comes to us looking to heal and recover from chemical dependency, and we make each individual’s personal wellbeing and safety a top priority when administering such treatment.
Depending on the treatment needs of the resident, our staff may recommend medication-assisted treatment in the form of the prescription medication Suboxone, which is specifically designed to alleviate the withdrawal symptoms associated with opioid addiction. The need for this type of intervention is determined on a case-by-case basis, as some residents may not be struggling with this sort of chemical dependency problem or require pharmaceutical intervention in order to get through this phase of their care. Additionally, our medical staff members are on-hand to regularly monitor residents’ withdrawal processes so as to safeguard their health. Lastly, our qualified nursing staff is available 24 hours per day should a resident require support during detoxification.
How Do We Treat High THC Marijuana Addiction and Co-Occurring Disorders?
Given the complex nature of treating high THC marijuana addiction, we, at Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center, aim to offer the most comprehensive and all-inclusive rehab treatment available to every resident who comes through our doors. In order to fulfill this initiative, we strive to help adolescent girls and women in the following ways:
- So as to help residents experience a decrease in the emotional turmoil they are experiencing, we offer numerous interventions that are designed to identify and treat co-occurring conditions that could otherwise hinder recovering from a high THC marijuana addiction.
- We hope to alleviate the current physical pain and/or discomfort associated with withdrawal so that the therapeutic aspect of our programming can be effectively navigated.
- In order to quell overpowering emotions associated with past trauma, we supply forums in which residents can work through past experiences in a safe and productive manner.
When a woman is suffering from a co-occurring condition at the same time as an addiction to more potent strains of marijuana, there is a good possibility that she may not be as successful in her recovery process if said condition is not treated at the same time. Many individuals who battle substance use concerns also struggle with co-occurring disorders, and are able to achieve the drug-free lives they desire when comprehensive care is received. Given this fact, Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center is pleased to offer care for a wide range of co-occurring disorders so that each and every one of our residents is able to make great strides towards living truly healed and recovered lives.
Examples of the disorders that can coexist and be treated at the same time as high THC marijuana addiction include:
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD)
- Various other compulsive behaviors
- Anxiety disorders, including phobias and panic disorder
- Bipolar disorder
- Other substance use disorders
- Personality disorders
- Eating disorders
As previously stated, when a woman comes to our rehab center, each one of her treatment needs are assessed in order to identify and treat any and all co-occurring concerns that may be present. In the event a resident is grappling with a mental illness, such as one of the disorders listed above, in addition to high THC marijuana abuse, we will do all that we can to incorporate the necessary interventions that will support a healthy and long-lasting recovery.
